if only it runs on GDDR5 i will 100% buy it
The only thing holding me back is the VRAM GDDR3
Which is quite old in 2011 Q4

My friend told me that this is the best gaming-laptop on the market atm, is this true?
AeroSatan on November 21, 2011 at 6:29 am
Not sure why the review says the Alienhead on the back does not glow. It glows alright, only thing is that you cannot control it like you can the rest of the customizable zones, otherwise it glows in white.

@AeroSatan Yep, that was a good old fashioned mistake. :)

@tuntarallCotA No it is the best gaming-laptop on the market that’s pre-built.

@gunbreaker135 meh. if you want better performance, bigger screen, and acsess to DVDs and CDs then get m14x. if u didnt save up enough for m14x i suggest you do.

@Moonface00z UNLIKE othermodels i have heardAlienware M14 video cardcan be upgraded. You just have to buy the GDDR5 and replace and install it yourself. :)

@xWinterAries there is a slot on the right side i believe. it slides in
Lachman0102 on December 1, 2011 at 10:27 am
I’d prefer the XPS 17 to be honest, cheaper, same performance :)
xXSourTortugaXx on December 4, 2011 at 11:38 pm
Does the screen actually shake or whatever in the vid or is the camera? Sorry but I can’t explain it that well
HotHardwareVids on December 5, 2011 at 12:52 am
@xXSourTortugaXx – No that’s LCD refresh rate versus camera scan speed. It’s just an artifact that sometimes can’t be avoided in video recording of a 60Hz LCD.
